How to Measure for a Slip Collar
- Use a soft tape measure to wrap around the widest part of your dog’s head, usually just in front of the ears. This ensures the collar can slide on and off comfortably.
- Add about 1–2 inches to your measurement to make sure the collar isn’t too snug
- Slip the measuring tape over your dog’s head like a collar. If it goes on and off smoothly without being too loose, you’ve got the right size!
Example: If the widest part of your dog’s head measures 15 inches, order a 16–17 inch slip collar

One of the best things about Biothane is how easy it is to clean. Often, you can simply rinse off dirt without even using soap.
For regular cleaning: Soak the gear in warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and towel dry.
For a deeper clean: Gently scrub with a soft sponge, cloth, or an old toothbrush
For stubborn stains (rare): Use a magic eraser
